Dear CHS Parents and Guardians,
The establishment of good communications focused on maintaining a safe, nurturing and productive environment form the centerpoint of everything that we do at Crestwood High School. Simply put, we care about our kids, we celebrate their accomplishments and we help them through hardship as they navigate their formative years leading to adulthood.
We made a point today to hold class meetings to address some enhancements to and reinforcement of existing building practices. These practices are not punitive in nature and are firmly focused upon maintaining a safe and productive environment centered on celebrating learning. Areas addressed include the following:
Making good choices and the effects of these choices on our own character.
Being there for one another and supporting those around us.
Importance of maintaining good attendance.
Ensuring that students are where they should be, when they should be there and doing what they should be doing.
Elimination of carrying backpacks, cinch sacks and purses to every class (these can obviously be brought to school- they simply must remain in lockers).
Bringing a renewed focus on learning.
Introduction of our new school resource officer, Kaitlin Osborn.
I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve our community’s kids these past 14 years and look forward to celebrating with you their continued accomplishments. Thank you for your support as we continue to strive to meet the needs of all of our kids.
