We are excited to announce a new program called Breakfast in the Classroom!! Starting Monday, November 5th, all students at every building, will have the opportunity to purchase breakfast in the cafeteria and take it directly to their classroom. Research has shown eating breakfast at school improves academic performance, health, and behavior~
*Children who eat breakfast at school perform better on standardized tests than those who skip breakfast or eat breakfast at home.
*Providing breakfast to students at school improves their concentration, alertness, comprehension, memory, and learning.
* Participating in school breakfast also is associated with improved math grades, attendance, and behavior.
Breakfast is offered at every building, every day. Cost is $1.75 (CPS/CIS) and $2.00 (CMS & CHS). Cost for reduced status students is $.30 at every building and free for free status students.
Any questions regarding this program or the lunch program can be directed to our Nutrition Services Director, Mrs. Bujak-Hirsch, S.N.S.
