CSG makes history named BOA Class A Champions!
On Saturday, September 25, 2010 the Crestwood Scarlet Guard Marching Band traveled to Irwin, PA for the Bands of America Regional Championships. This is a national level competition circuit and the band for the first time in the history of the school was name Bands of America Class Champions! The Scarlet Guard was also awarded Outstanding Music and Outstanding General Effect in Class A! In the entire nation each year there are only 16 Bands of America Regional Championships. Of those events there are only one Class Champion Band awarded at each event; and of those events only Class Champion Bands will be awarded with a Bands of America Regional Championship Medallion. This truly is a remarkable accomplishment for the Crestwood Local School District to have a band that has been named as a Regional Class Champion Band! This also marks the highest the band have ever placed in a Bands of America Regional Championship to date! Thank you so much to all the parents that traveled and contributed to the successful day that the Scarlet Guard had. All of your work behind the scenes, loading trucks, preparing meals, moving equipment, and much more really helped contribute to allow the students to have a successful day. Also thanks to all those who drove down to cheer the band on in the stands at the event as they took field in their first finals appearance.
