Hello and Welcome to the 6th Grade:
My name is Mrs. Lydia Kulesza. I teach 6th grade Language Arts. I have been teaching for 32 years - 17 of those years have been at Crestwood. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University in 1984 and my Master's degree from Marygrove College in 2010. I have also done post-graduate work in Special Education, conducted an Action Research Project (CMS Writing Center) through the KEEP Academy (Kent State University) and studied Formative Instructional Practices through Hiram College. I am the CMS Spelling Bee Coach, a Curriculum Liaison, and Resident Educator Mentor.
My husband, Greg, and I live in Shalersville. We have three children, two grandchildren, and a Dachsund named Frisco. Our favorite vacation destination is Nags Head, North Carolina in the Outer Banks. The furthest I've traveled is San Francisco, California as part of the leadership team that piloted the Summit Learning Program last year.
I love to read, play piano, sing, watch movies and babysit my grandchildren. My favorite books are listed on the page entitled My Favorite Books.
Most of my class information will be conveyed through the Google Classroom and Class Dojo. I will send home directions for signing up at Open House and on the first day of school.
I am very excited for the new school year to begin and look forward to meeting all my students and their families!
