Welcome to 6th grade! I am so happy to be a part of your 2015-2016 school year at CMS.
This is my second year teaching and I am so excited to get started. I graduated from Kent State University in the spring of 2015, earning my Bachelors of Science in Education, with a concentration in Special Education-focusing on Mild/Moderate needs. I am also a Highly Qualified Teacher in the core subject of reading. I have many years of field experience and am extremely passionate about equal education and opporunities for all learners. Although this is my second year teaching, I am very familiar with the CMS community after just completing my student teaching in the 7th grade, as well as substituting in the 6th grade at the end of the 14-15 school year. I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful family.
Besides being an awesome teacher and devoting my days to the students, I also have a fabulous husband I just newly married last summer as well as three lovely children; my 5-year-old son Nate and two wonderful twin step kiddos Tyler and Nolee who will be turning 13 in September. As a family, we love to go camping, travel when possible, and go to many concerts.
