My name is Stephanie Tutkovics and I will be the new school counselor at Crestwood Intermediate School. School counseling has been my ultimate career goal and I’m thrilled to be working for Crestwood!
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-8) from The Ohio State University and my Master’s degree in School Counseling (K-12) from Cleveland State University. In addition to my degrees, I also have my Reading Endorsement from Kent State University and my Reading Recovery training from The Ohio State University.
I started my teaching career in Syracuse, NY teaching first grade. When we moved back to Ohio, I worked in Shaker Heights as a long term sub for Kindergarten and Second grade in addition to working as a Title One Tutor. I stayed home with my children for 13 years and during that time I was on the board for their Co-op preschools and volunteered for the Ohio Reads program and other PTO activities. The past seven years I worked for Aurora City Schools as a reading tutor for grades K-5.
During my “free” time, I like to read, garden, exercise and hang out with my family. My husband and I have been married 26 years, and we have three children. Madeleine, will be a senior at Miami University majoring in special education. Alexander will be a sophomore at Miami, majoring in computer engineering. Grace will be a sophomore in high school at Aurora this fall, and playing volleyball. I am looking forward to being a part of the Crestwood team!
