Hello students and families, this is Dave McMahon, principal of Crestwood High School, with an important message.
Before I address the main message of this communication, I want to recognize the efforts that the majority of our students have put into maintaining a responsible approach to their education. This is a very difficult time for everyone and I find it not only notable but also commendable that so many of our students demonstrate the grit required in both good and challenging times.
The purpose of this communication is to reiterate the method associated with the calculation of final course grades.
Final course grades will be calculated as follows:
Students who HAVE NOT been engaged in the educational process (completing assignments and assessments) throughout the fourth marking period of the school year will receive the grade that they earned due to their lack of engagement during the fourth marking period. This information has been communicated multiple times, by multiple Crestwood teachers/staff members, via multiple venues (emails, phone calls, text messages, letters (sent by both regular and certified mail) and more.
I hope that this information serves to clarify any questions that may exist regarding the final course grade determination for this school year. Again, I commend the largest majority of our students on their hard work and diligence during the fourth marking period.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school counselor by email.
