I am currently the fifth grade intervention specialist in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I work within the general education classrooms as well as in small group and even one-on-one.

I will be the third grade intervention specialist for the 2020-2021 school year. I am looking forward to working with the third graders and supporting the third grade teachers.

You can reach me at jmay@crestwoodschools.org.

I have taught special education for 32 years. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with degrees in Elementary Education, Specific Learning Disabilities as well as Behavior Handicapped.  I earned my Masters Degree at Mary Grove College with a degree in the Art Of Teaching.  I taught in Berkeley County, West Virginia for 14 years in grades K-5.  I returned to Ohio in 2002, and began teaching in Crestwood Local School District. I taught at Crestwood Middle School for 11 years and have taught at Crestwood Intermediate School for 7 years.

On a personal note, I have a 20 year old son.  I have a dog named Camo, and he is part Dachshund and part Jack Russell Terrier.  He is 11 years old so he has slowed down a bit.
