Ten Crestwood High School (CHS) seventh and eighth graders were invited to attend the annual Portage County Middle School Leadership Seminar. This event was sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio and Portage Programs, for students showing outstanding leadership potential in our county.
CHS participants included Abigail Wild, Piper Seibold, Heide Jessel, Brody Durham, Julien Russo, rocco Wrobel, Sam Roosa, Maddy Sheridan, and Lorena DeHoff. CHS Counselor Lynne Morrison attended with the students. “They have opportunities to meet students from other schools and work collaboratively on problem solving. It is a fun-filled day for all with meaningful lessons along the way,” said Morrison.
The students attending this seminar identified leadership skills and were able to build and enhance these skills while stressing the true meaning of leadership, citizenship, and service to others. “This is a great event that includes students representing Portage County schools around the area,” said Morrison. “Students are engaged in team building and leadership activities throughout the day.”
